Geotechnical Services
SMGC provides an extensive range of services in geotechnical and geophysical analysis and data collection using 2D limit equilibrium methods (Galena, Xtable, SlopeW software) and discrete element modelling (Flac 2D, 3D, Udec and PFS code). Technical advice includes materials performance, handling and stability on exposure, site trafficability, ground parameters for blast performance, excavatability and waste dump design and performance.
SMGC holds Sirovision licences and can complete geological mapping, geotechnical, and structural geological surveys using terrestrial digital photogrammetry linked to geological and geotechnical modelling tools.
